Energy Update: Mercury Retro and YOUR Big Issue.
Many of you already know about the astrological phenomenon known as Mercury Retrograde. If you don’t, there’s some quick info on it in my Top 10 Mercury Retrograde Survival Tips. Mercury officially went retrograde March 30, 2011 and will turn direct on April 23, 2011.
I’m noticing the usual Mercury Retro type action this time around: verbal misunderstandings, computer issues, my phone charger stopped working, old friends have shown up, many things have been dropped or spilled, etc. etc.. All very typical. I try to just laugh. Ha ha ha, good one, Mercury! (Later edit: Also, in the middle of writing this, I got sidetracked by deciding to add Facebook comments to my blog. While I was doing that (a minor ordeal), my son came in after having pulled out his second tooth. And then my lamp wouldn’t work. Needless to say, this has been challenging to write. More typical Mercury Retro.)
But I’m also noticing something special this time around, just by paying attention to what is going on around me and with my friends and clients. I’m going to switch here from talking astrologically to speaking more intuitively. I might be able to make sense of it astrologically as well, but I’m not sure that’s super relevant right now.
It seems that this time around, Mercury Retrograde is challenging many of us with THE issue. What is THE issue? Well, it’s probably different for all of us. For many of us, it’s love or money. I’ve also seen some people working on things related to their home or protection of their children. It’s whatever BIG THING has been on YOUR mind over the past year or so. Maybe longer. I’m making generalizations. And perhaps it’s not happening for everyone. Perhaps it’s where the retro falls in your chart that makes the difference. I’ll be curious to hear what others’ are experiencing.
The thing is that THE issue has the stamp of Mercury Retro on it because the people I know dealing with THE issue had been really close to having put THE issue behind them. (Myself included.) THE issue was just about solved, it seemed. But Mercury Retro wants us to have another look at it. Look at it AGAIN (retro). It feels like we are being given the opportunity to re-align ourselves with our highest good related to whatever Big Issue we’ve been experiencing.
We had so much slow down and inner work to do in the last part of 2010. Then we began to move forward again in 2011. And with the newness of Uranus in Aries and Neptune in Pisces, we all got a jolt of fresh air in the past month. We began to see our new lives taking shape. It finally Made Sense. (Cue choirs of angels singing.)
And now this. It’s back in our faces. Whatever IT is. We THOUGHT we had conquered IT. I think we mostly have. I think this is one final hurrah to make sure whatever THIS is, we are really and truly letting go of whatever doesn’t serve us. Let go of the old. Re-examine whatever baggage you still have: physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Let it go. Because as a species, we are on the precipice of a huge awakening. We have grander new lives to lead and the universe is just sweetly making sure we have fully put our consciousness into them. The universe is sweetly making sure we are truly ready to move on. What a sweet and loving universe!

YES! Imhaving The BIG SSUE!!!!! I finally let go of the Oldlove Id been HOLDING onto… to allow new tocome into mylife… he did & it was all progressing just wonderfully & THE MERCURY STRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now its SILENCE!?!??!?! The Crads I pull & the signs I get are all telling me to hold on,be patient its comingback… but, its a daily battle to keep the faith without hearing a word for the past month & almost a half now!! Which is NOT like this person to be impolite this way??>.. Frustrating to say the least…really miss our connection…&NOT Lovin the retrograde!
Awwww… Sweet Sherri. Yup. Hold on. Be patient. It’s the times. And WoW… here’s one thing I gotta say. The MEN are doing AMAZING work. There is such a renaissance of super awesome male energy going on right now. I am attributing it to Uranus in Aries. WOW. They might need a little space, but no doubt, this man or a better one will be knocking your socks off in the near future. I’m feelin it.
I HOPE hes doing his work cuz I sure as hell am working at MINE!!! & when we DO get the opportunity to come together! SHAZAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Cuz I already KNOW how amazing we will be together!! I havent met someone so,spiritually in Sync with me until this date! What we have to learb from each other & share with others… wow… I see so, many wonderful things ahead!! Yolga together, meditation together,retreats together, singing & playng guitar together, walks on the beach, the woods, in the mountians… the list just gets longer!! I think you might have to take a bit of a chill pill, Honey. Hahahaha. Don’t freak him out with so much intensity. Well, on the other hand, if that is just how you feel, that is just how you feel. But I could see how it potentially freaked him right out. And he is probably going through big changes. So many people are.

ME??Intense????….;o) maybe a wee bit…. but,I woluldnt have GOTTEN so,intense had he not DISAPEARED! we were traveling along happily at SOMEWHAT the same LIGHT SPEED till the SPEED BUMP! lol!But,hey! Hes a LEO! he’s Fire TOO!!! yeah…Im already watchingfgor the 23rd believe me… I am also,to be aware of the 17th…4 days before & four days after… thati need to be tied up somewhere in a ruber room so, as to NOT make a fatal errro due to my Fire….hmmm….lol! Believe me… when I hearYOU & the rest of the world will hear… & yes, it apears hes gon g through a lot as well… Im not mad at him… just miss him& wish I could help…:o)

Cool article! I’m interested in astrology but I don’t really study it at all. I can totally resonate with what you say though. These past few weeks and especially past few days I have been having communication issues where I say something that unintentionally offends someone and then we get into a stupid argument and I know that I can change it so that neither of us gets offended but what it is I dont know. I tried just not saying anything or just being really nice but even when I try to be nice my words aren’t specific enough and it pisses the other person off. Or I get impatient and say things a little harshly but I am being honest with my thoughts and then the other person takes it personally. So frustrating.
Wow, Violet. I can totally relate. Just stay as patient as you can. Keep in mind that these things are annoying in the moment, but tend to turn out okay. Sometimes they can even cause us to smile, but maybe don’t do that in the moment with an angry person staring you in the face. LOL.
It’s a great time to re-examine your own issues (because those are the only ones over which we have control!) So, speak your truth (or not) as kindly as possible and know that whatever anyone else thinks about it is THEIR issue, not yours. Sending you the love…
